Post 2003 supports the veterans, youth and community of Fluvanna County by sponsoring or participating in the following:
Veterans / Troop Support
Post 2003 provides support to veterans in our area via many avenues to include DAV Van driving, VA Hopsital donations,
Service Officer support for identifying VA issues and support to deployed soldiers and their families.
While we recently completed the season's contest, we are always looking for eligible High School students to
participate inthe Oratorical Contest. Cash Prizes are awarded to the top 3 presenters. After reviewing the information

Boys State (Virginia)
Boy's State is a comprehensive one week course in
state and local government . Virginia American Legion Boy's State is a "leadership action program" where qualified
high school rising seniors take part in a practical government course. It is designed to develop a working knowledge of the
structure of government and to impress upon the citizen the fact that our government is just what we make it. Post 2003
teams up with other local organizaitons such as the Fluvanna and Three Chopt Ruritan Clubs and the Fluvanna Rotary Club
to sponsor boys to attend this outstanding program. The American Leigon Auxilliary Unit sponsors Girl's State.
